Me Too

A poetry on woman, gender and judgement

Riding down the hall, I fearPeople comment on what I wear,My makeup is on pointThey say don’t go out at night,I walk like a normal humanBut they say careful, learn.

It is difficult already as a womanAll they do is make fun,Sometimes I cryNo matter how hard I try,I am learning to fit inThey ask tuck the shirt in.

I can’t complainOr else I am a diva,My plea goes in vainI should know my limits, after all I am just a chica,Maybe someday I can be freeI wish I was just a tree.
